BTCCSquare news:

Dubai Multi-Commodities Centre (DMCC) has partnered with Crypto.com to explore blockchain-based tokenization of physical commodities. The collaboration targets precious metals, diamonds, energy products, and agricultural goods—aiming to streamline settlements and enhance price transparency.

The memorandum of understanding signals Dubai's accelerating push to become a hub for regulated digital asset infrastructure. By migrating legacy trade systems onto distributed ledgers, the initiative could reduce settlement cycles from days to minutes.

This marks Crypto.com's second major institutional MOVE this quarter following its Abu Dhabi derivatives license. Commodity tokenization projects have gained traction since BlackRock's Ethereum-based gold platform launched in Q1 2025.
